Description

Plot: A senior in high school, Togeru Kazamachi, whose career as a track and field athlete was cut short due to a serious injury. Tormented by a sense of loss and alienation, he runs out in front of a running car as if attracted to it, and before he knows it, he's turned into a ghost. Confused, Togeru flees the scene and meets Goro, Junpei and Chitta, all members of the anachronistic Showa-era "Wanpakudan" (gang of yankees). They have not yet attained Buddhahood since their death about 40 years ago. Meanwhile, Birch, a former member of the "Wanpakudan" has become a member of the "Boreizoku," a group of mischief-makers in the spirit world. Although Togeru feels a generation gap between the foolish and hot Yankees left behind in the Showa era, he gradually begins to feel a sense of camaraderie. They have their own reasons for staying in this world, and there is a hidden "truth" that they themselves do not know...!
