The hit TV series "Grandmaison Tokyo", starring Takuya Kimura, returns in a long-awaited completely new special drama on the eve of its film's release! In addition to Kimura playing the unconventional chef Natsuki Obana, the cast includes Kyoka Suzuki, Yuta Tamamori, Mitsuhiro Oikawa, and Kazuki Kitamura also appear as guests. The Michelin Guide will again provide full support for the filming. --In the past, the restaurant was awarded three stars by the Michelin Guide just one year after its opening. Soon after, however, the food and beverage industry was hit hard by the spread of the new coronavirus in many countries around the world. Grand Maison Tokyo was no exception, and in order to survive, it formed a capital alliance with a food consulting firm affiliated with a major corporation, and found a way to survive through frozen foods for mail order and a recipe website. However, Rinko seemed to have forgotten her pure passion for cooking, thinking only of maintaining the restaurant. Grand Maison Tokyo" lost its Michelin stars, and finally lost all of them, due to the mere appearance of its cuisine. Meanwhile, Natsuki Obana, who was supposed to have gone to Paris, disappeared and was never heard from again. Rinko felt responsible for her decision to enter into a capital tie-up in order to maintain Grand Maison Tokyo. While performing the duties of a "chef", which she is contractually obliged to accept, Rinko and Shiorina Kusumi visit Meilleur Kyoto, a French restaurant that has just opened but was rumored to be nominated for the world's top restaurant of the year, and is only open for one couple a day. As Rinko proceeds to eat a course meal, she becomes convinced that Obana is there.... What is the purpose of Obana's return to Japan after having lost touch with her? Can Grand Maison Tokyo, which has lost all its stars, stand up again?

2019年に日曜劇場枠で放送され、多くの作品ファンを生み出した木村拓哉主演の『グランメゾン東京』が、映画公開前夜に待望の完全新作スペシャルドラマで帰ってきた! 型破りなシェフ・尾花夏樹を木村が演じるほか、「グランメゾン東京」のシェフ・早見倫子役の鈴木京香、スーシェフ・平古祥平役の玉森裕太、相沢瓶人役の及川光博、そしてギャルソンを務める京野陸太郎役の沢村一樹ら豪華キャスト陣が再び集結する。そしてゲストとして窪田正孝、北村一輝が出演! 連続ドラマに引き続き、脚本は黒岩勉、演出は塚原あゆ子が担当。料理監修も前作に引き続き品川のフレンチレストラン「カンテサンス」の岸田周三シェフが務める。そして今回もミシュランガイドが全面協力し、連続ドラマと同様に服部栄養専門学校が撮影をサポートする。――オープンからわずか一年でミシュランガイドの三つ星を獲得。アジア人女性初の三つ星レストランのシェフとなった早見倫子だったが、その直後、世界各国で新型コロナウイルスが蔓延し飲食業界は大きな打撃を受けた。「グランメゾン東京」も例外ではなく、生き残りのため大手企業傘下のフードコンサルティング企業と資本提携を結び、通販用の冷凍食品やレシピサイトに活路を見出していた。しかし、倫子は店を維持することばかりを考えて料理への純粋な情熱を忘れてしまったようだった。見栄えだけの料理によって「グランメゾン東京」はミシュランの星を減らし、ついにすべての星を失ってしまった。一方、パリに行ったはずの尾花夏樹は姿を消し、連絡が途絶えていた。倫子は「グランメゾン東京」を維持するために資本提携を決断したことに責任を感じていた。契約上受けざるを得ない、"シェフ"とは程遠い仕事をこなす中、倫子と久住栞奈はオープンして間もないにもかかわらず今年の世界トップレストランにノミネートされると噂になっていた、一日一組限定のフレンチレストラン「メイユール京都」を訪れる。コース料理を食べすすめていくと、倫子はその店に尾花がいることを確信し──。音信不通だった尾花が日本に戻って来た目的とは!? すべての星を失ってしまった「グランメゾン東京」は、もう一度立ち上がることができるのか?
